Dolly Featured In AARP Magazine
Dolly is featured on the cover of AARP Magazine’s May/June issue along with an extensive interview inside. In the feature article, Dolly discusses everything from her growing up days, her 9 To 5 Broadway musical, and starting her own record label (Dolly Records) which the article states paid for itself in only three months after releasing Backwoods Barbie. Considering it an investment in herself, Dolly said, “After you reach a certain age, they think you’re over. Well, I will never be over. I’ll be making records if I have to sell them out of the trunk of my car. I’ve done that in the past, and I’d do it again.” The issue is on newsstands now and fans can read the article on the AARP website.

I just joined AARP this year and seeing Dolly on the cover made me smile for the first time being in that aarp age category and reading the article was nice. Having her girlfriend bye her side all these years was to me the best. For her to say, once you get to a certain age, they think your over, sad.. well maybe the industry lost support because they lost heart,? well they lost a sure thing in Dolly.
After all she has done and is still doing..Shame on the whippersnappers! So many new wonderful singers with out real strong background…Dolly will show everyone she will never be out dated or forgotten, there’s no way…She is to Awesome!! Johnny C would be proud, he loved her too.
