Dolly Adds Providence, Clearwater Tour Dates
Dolly has been added as the headliner for the Providence Performing Arts Center fundraiser in Providence, Rhode Island on November 1st. Pre-sale tickets are currently available to Dollyite members. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on August 14th.
Dolly has also added Clearwater, Florida to the next leg of her 2008/2009 Backwoods Barbie Tour. Dolly will be playing Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater on October 20th. Dollyite members can purchase pre-sale tickets starting this Wednesday, August 6th, at 10 AM local time until Thursday, August 7th at 10 PM. Tickets for Clearwater go on sale to the public this Friday, August 8th, at 10 AM local time via Ticket Master.
Meanwhile, the Backwoods Barbie tour rolls on and is receiving rave reviews! Variety gave positive remarks to Sunday’s L.A. show, saying “Parton remains as slyly bodacious as ever, and she is singing as well as ever” while The Los Angeles Times said “Parton can compete with any diva, but she sparkles most when she’s just herself.”
