Dolly has released “Shinola” as the third single from her latest Backwoods Barbie album which will be shipping to radio stations this week. According to an official press release, Dolly also heads into the studio this week to record her duet with Jessica Simpson which will be released on Jessica’s first country album, due out September 9th. Dolly contributed a self-penned song to Jessica’s album called “Do You Know” which will also serve as the title for the album. Dolly states in a press release, “Well, Jessica Simpson has recorded a song I wrote for her titled ‘Do You Know.’ I believe that will be the name of her new CD as well. Not only did she record it, she sang the living daylights out of it. Boy, can she sing. I’m excited and honored that she recorded my song, but equally as excited that I am going to sing on it with her as well. Guess you could say it’s the ‘blonde leading the blonde.’” Do You Know is available for pre-order now from Amazon.

In tour news, Dolly just completed her most successful European tour ever where she played to over 170,000 fans in just 17 shows. She beat last year’s record by 30,000, playing to 140,000 fans in 21 shows during last year’s European tour. Dolly’s sold out shows in Glasgow and London were filmed by Fran Strine for a new concert DVD to be released in the future. Dolly is set to do 12 more shows in the U.S. beginning August 1st followed by a U.S./Canada tour in October. Tickets are still available for her forthcoming U.S. shows from Ticket Master and StubHub, but are selling fast.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale today for Dolly’s October 25th benefit concert for St. Mark Catholic Church in Richmond, Kentucky. Fans can use pre-sale password DOLLY to purchase tickets through the church’s website or Ticket Master. The church is also offering a pair of VIP tickets up for bid on eBay complete with two pink rocking chairs autographed by Dolly.
