Dolly’s latest single “Better Get To Livin’” is climbing up the charts, reaching #48 on Billboard’s country singles chart, marking its highest chart position since being released back in August. Keep voting for the single on GAC’s Top 20 Countdown and CMT’s Pure 12-Pack Countdown!

In the latest issue of Interview magazine, Dolly gets a great three page spread as she discusses many of her latest projects, including some great insights on many of the tracks from her Backwoods Barbie album. On the song “Jesus & Gravity”, the second single to be released from the album, Dolly says, “When I sing it, I get emotional. And a lot of people who’ve heard the album—the band, the different people who we’ve worked on it with, and some of the people promoting it—they really like that one especially.” The February issue of Interview is on newsstands now.

It has just been confirmed that Backwoods Barbie is officailly set to hit stores on February 26th, only three weeks later than the initial release date. Fans can still preorder the album through her official site which comes with a limited edition pink Dolly Parton t-shirt. Wal-Mart also has an exclusive version of the album available for presale which includes a live bonus track of “9 To 5″.

Dolly gets an interview in Relix magazine as she talks about her latest single “Better Get To Livin’” and upcoming Backwoods Barbie album. Dolly also discusses working on a biographical musical and screenplay about her life, saying Reese Witherspoon would be a possibility to play her in the movie version. The release date for Dolly’s upcoming Backwoods Barbie album has been pushed back until late February or early March to coincide with the launch of her Backwoods Barbie World Tour. An exact release date should be announced soon. Dolly officials are currently looking into rescheduling her previously announced club shows in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York as well as potential media appearances. Five more U.S. dates have been added for Dolly’s 2008 Backwoods Barbie World Tour! Dolly has added a second Chicago date on March 1st, playing the Chicago Theater two nights in a row. She will also be playing the Hershey Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania on March 4th; the Borgata in Atlantic City, NJ on March 8th; the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas on March 14th; and the Nokia Theater in Dallas, Texas on March 15th. The writers of Newsweek have picked their favorite music and videos of 2007 and Dolly’s music video for “Better Get To Livin’” made the cut!
