Dolly Rocks Mohegan Sun Arena
Dolly played her first of five 2006 casino dates last Thursday when she opened at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut to a nearly sold-out crowd. The show opened with Dolly rising up onto a double staircase and singing a rollicking “Baby, I’m Burning” and “Two Doors Down”. The show included many numbers from her 2004 “Hello, I’m Dolly” tour like “The Grass Is Blue” to which Dolly played on piano, “I Dreamed About Elvis” with an Elvis impersonator, and “Islands In The Stream” with a Kenny Rogers impersonator using pre-recorded vocals from the real Kenny Rogers. Dolly also performed “Crimson And Clover” and “Me And Bobby McGee” from her 2005 Those Were The Days album. Her set included the usual round of songs from her early days like “Coat Of Many Colors” and “My Tennessee Mountain Home” as well as the less-performed “God’s Coloring Book”. Dolly finished the show with “I Will Always Love You” before returning to the stage to perform an encore of an upbeat remix of her Oscar-nominated “Travelin’ Thru”. The set list was as follows:

- Baby, I’m Burning
- Two Doors Down
- Jolene
- The Grass Is Blue
- Shine
- Thank God I’m A Country Girl
- God’s Coloring Book
- Little Sparrow
- My Tennessee Mountain Home
