The video for Dolly’s duet with Rhonda Vincent on the song “Heartbreaker’s Alibi” is now available for viewing on the website of Vincent’s label, Rounder Records. A video that Dolly contributed to six years ago is now available on the website YouTube. Fans may remember that Dolly graciously left the recording of her album Little Sparrow to participate in the recording of “Wave To The World,” a song and video that was to benefit the 2000 Paralympics in Sydney. Unfortunately, the CD and video were never released, but the video has now been made available on YouTube by the video’s editor. The video, which also features Keith Urban, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, and others is available to watch here.

Larry Ferguson, manager of Dolly’s good friend Dottie Rambo, has written a new book about his life on the road with the gospel legend. The book contains several hundred rare photographs, several of which feature Dolly. Among the many tales in the book, Ferguson tells the story behind the recording of the hit Rambo/Parton duet “Stand By The River.” Dolly says of the book “Larry is a wonderful man that I’m proud to call a friend. I am very honored to be included in his book, “Drivin’ Miss Dottie”. (I, too, love Miss Dottie!) He has done a wonderful job and I’m sure you readers will enjoy it.” Other celebrity endorsements include Lily Tomlin, Tammy Faye Bakker, Barbara Mandrell, and Dolly’s sister, Stella Parton. The book, which will be released August 5th, can be pre-ordered now from Rambo’s website. Dolly appears on several new releases that are in stores now. Dolly sings with Bluegrasser Rhonda Vincent on the song “Heartbreaker’s Alibi” on her new album All American-Bluegrass Girl, which can be ordered from Amazon. Dolly and pal Alison Krauss have lended their vocals to Charlie Louvin’s new CD If Only In A Song, Dolly and Alison sing on the track “Circle Of Friends.” The album is only available through the website of Louvin’s record label, here. Dolly has also recorded her classic song “Tomorrow Is Forever” with R&B legend Solomon Burke. Burke’s album, which also features collaborations with Emmylou Harris (on the George Jones/Tammy Wynette classic “We’re Gonna Hold On”) and Gillian Welch, will be released this fall.
