Dolly appeared at the Groundbreaking of the Randy Parton Theatre in Roanoke Rapids, NC last Friday (Nov. 11th) in front of thousands of fans. Sisters Stella and Rachel joined Dolly and Randy to introduce the new theatre, which will be the cornerstone of the Carolina Crossroads Entertainment District, scheduled to open in the spring of 2007. The Quartet of Partons, along with Grand Ole Opry Legends such as Jeannie Seely and Jim Ed Brown closed the ceremony with a performance of “I Saw The Light,” as well as a capella renditions of “God Bless America” and “The Star Spangled Banner.”

Don’t forget to catch the 39th Annual Country Music Association Awards tonight. Dolly and Sir Elton John will be performing her latest single “Imagine,” along with John’s latest single “Turn The Lights Out When You Leave.” The video for Dolly’s “Imagine” was filmed in New York City recently, and will begin airing on CMT and other video networks near the end of the month.
