Re: Tour postponed!I really hope that Dolly gets to feeling well very soon! I hate to hear bad things that happen to her. Well, every now and then, we all get sick or hurt in some way. I just hope she recovers ad is able to entertan us until she's 100!!! I think she'll try to at least! GET WELL SOON DOLLY!

Re: Tour postponed!I'm really sorry to hear about Dolly's sore back, and hope that her pain recedes quickly. Usually back pain is something doctors can do little about. Maybe she will use the time to write some more songs. The postponement announcement is almost straight out of the lyrics of "Backwoods Barbie" (the song).
One selfish merit to the postponement is that I had another obligation on the night of her (now cancelled) Radio City Music Hall concert on March 7th. Now I'll have another chance to see Dolly live for the first time, when the tour is rescheduled. Last night, we were listening to a mix CD I made, covering Dolly's whole recording career from "Coat of Many Colors" to the superb bluegrass albums of this decade. My wife observed that the reason Dolly transports her listeners so high is that she makes it all sound effortless -- not a trace of strain as she reaches for those soaring high notes. Dolly was born to sing, the way birds were born to fly, and fish to swim -- the kind of talent that only appears once in 500 years. May her pain fade away, to be replaced by fresh joy and inspiration for the Blue Valley Songbird!
